Rental Policies and Procedures

Reservation Payments: You must be at least 25 years of age to make a reservation. A minimum of 25% advanced rent payment is required at time of booking. The balance of the rent plus refundable damage deposit must be paid at least 30 days prior to your scheduled arrival date.

 

Cancellation Policy: Reservations cancelled more than 60 days prior to check-in are subject to a $50 cancellation fee. Payment will be forfeited if reservation is cancelled less than 60 days prior to check-in. We strongly encourage you to protect yourself with travel protection insurance.

Starfish Vacations has partnered with Red Sky Travel Insurance to provide Sun Trip Preserver® coverage for our guests. Sun Trip Preserver provides cancellation and interruption services as well as emergency assistance and travel services. Protect yourself in the event of hurricane evacuations and family emergencies such as illness or death in the family. The travel insurance is optional and the cost is 6.95% of your total reservation stay.

Hurricane Policy: If a hurricane warning is issued and government authorities issue a Mandatory Evacuation for Navarre Beach, we will prorate your rent and credit you for the number of nights that were not used. In the case of a voluntary evacuation, it will be at your discretion to leave, and no refunds will be given.

Check-in: Please pick up your check-in package at the Starfish Vacations office located at 2515 Highway 87 South Navarre, FL 32566 between 1:00pm and 3:00pm CST. Your accommodations will be ready for your check-in by 4:00pm CST.

Late Arrivals: If you will be arriving after office hours, you may retrieve your check-in package from the gray/blue lock box located to the left of the front door to the Starfish office at 2515 Highway 87. The combination to the lock box is 5775. Please secure the lock box after retrieving your package, even if the box is empty.

Property Access: For security reasons, we do not give access codes out prior to your arrival. All access codes will be in your check-in package.

Departure Procedures: Upon departure, please dispose of all trash and load/start dishwasher. Our house keeping staff would be grateful if you start a load of towels before you depart. Additional cleaning charges may apply for units left in unsatisfactory condition.

Check-out: It is imperative that you check out prior to 10:00am CST on your check-out day. This gives our house keeping staff adequate time to prepare the property for the next arrival. A half-day rental fee will be charged for late check out. All keys, pool bands, etc. must be returned to the Starfish office at check-out. You will be charged $10 per key, $6 per pool band and $60 per garage door remote or key FOB not returned to the office. If you plan to check out early, please deposit these items into the drop slot to the left of the front door at the Starfish office.

Linens: Each property has been provided with the standard linen count. Extra linens and beach towels are not available. Your property is equipped with a washer and dryer. We ask that you maintain these linens during your occupancy. Please do not take linens, blankets, bath towels, etc. to the pool or beach.

Housekeeping: If you have questions regarding housekeeping in your unit, please notify us within 24 hours of arrival. Discrepancies will be addressed without delay. Discounts will not be given for housekeeping issues. No maid service is provided during your stay, only upon departure. If needed, maid service can be arranged.

Smoking Policy: Smoking is not allowed in any Starfish Vacation property. Violation of this no smoking policy will result in a mandatory fine of $500 for smoke remediation and will be charged to your credit card on file.

After Hours Lock-out: Any after hours lock-out will be the guest’s responsibility. There is a $50 (CASH ONLY) fee for staff to assist you with entering the premises. The only exceptions will be dead batteries on key-less entry door locks.

Damages: Tenant agrees to indemnify owner for any damages to the premises and/or furnishings that occur during renter's occupancy. Tenant is responsible for damages or charges that may occur during occupancy. Tenant’s credit card may be charged to pay for damages over and above the damage deposit.

Rules: You must be at least 25 years of age to make a reservation. Each property has its own rules and regulations and is governed by Florida statutes. Any violation of these rules will result in immediate cancellation of this agreement and all rents and deposits will be forfeited.

Non-registered/non-tagged vehicles will be towed at owner’s expense.

No pets allowed.

The number of persons in a unit may not exceed the maximum occupancy stated for that property.

Notes: Every effort will be made to honor special requests; however, special requests cannot be guaranteed.

Management is not responsible for loss, by theft or fire, of money, jewelry or any other personal or valuable item.

Only an initial supply of soap and paper products will be provided.

In rare instances, reserved properties become unavailable; therefore, Starfish Vacations reserves the right to change your reservation to LIKE or BETTER accommodations.
